We’ve been meeting the renowned singer Adam Plachetka for a very long time. In a way, he ‘grew up’ with the FOK. The almost uninterrupted collaboration began in 2006, in particular with Handel’s repertoire: Acis and Galatea, Judas Maccabeus, Samson, Messiah and Alexander’s Feast. Roman Válek, a Moravian promoter of early music, and his retinue were behind many of these projects. Plachetka will charge into the Rudolfinum, where this special concert is taking place, alongside the Israeli King Saul, the latter dressed in shiny Handelian armour. Actually, this exceptional evening will feature two kings, as the role of David will be performed by the world-famous contra tenor Andreas Scholl.

end of the concert at 22.20
